“Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your word makes my pathway clear.”

Psalm 119:105 TPT

What if I told you that what is right, isn’t always what is true.

Everyone has an opinion. While scrolling on our phones we are constantly being bombarded with information like: “5 ways to bring peace in your life” or “How to be the best wife” or “Here’s how to get your dream job”. So much information surrounds us, and though it may be right, the question becomes is it true?

Today’s anchor scripture in Psalms talks about how Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions. Truth is a Person! And that Person is Christ! Truth is not subjective, but Truth is never changing, never shifting, always the same, yesterday, today and forevermore.

Anything not built on the firm foundation, Jesus Christ, the only Truth, is bound to fail. That’s what we covered in the beginning of the foundation series, if you build a house on the wrong foundation, it will eventually collapse.

If the choices we are making, are not in alignment with God, then though it may feel right, it is not true. If the thoughts in your mind is not found in the Word, though it may seem right, it is not true. And the only way to know if you’re aligned to the Truth, is by reading the word.

When we neglect the Word, it’s like walking blindfolded: you will stumble, you will crash, and you will miss the clear path that was right before you. But when you meditate on the Word, and grasp the depths of it, the Truth will unveil your eyes, and show you the way to go. The Word of God illuminates dark paths and guides you to your God-ordained destiny.

I want to encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes as you read the Word. Who can give revelation of the Word except the Author of it? Spiritual things are spiritually discerned, and the beautiful thing about the Bible is that the revelator is always with us: the person of the Holy Spirit: God in us.

Keep seeking Him, keep opening the Word, keep reading, keep digesting and keep loving His Word.

Because a closed Bible is a closed destiny,

but an open Bible starts you on the path of finding yours.
