You know that moment when you text “no worries!!!” when in fact there are so many worries? So bold enough to include all the exclamation points trying to convince yourself and the other person, while you sit there with all the worries.

Maybe we worry because we think we are in control, or maybe it is because we want the control and things aren’t going our way!

It may be a little worry, but any bit of worry takes away from a beautiful moment for God to come into your situation and turn it around- no matter how small you may think it is!

God doesn’t want you in a constant state of panic and distress. It is not everyday “what do I do now!!?”. God wants us at rest in Him. Not just a physical rest, but a spiritual rest. We are living busy lives, but we can rest in God- knowing that He has it all in control. There are times when you may not know what to do, but we must walk and live by faith and not by sight. Do not let your circumstance dictate the level of rest you are at. You can have rest in the storm, just like Jesus did!

When you let go and let God handle the situation, He shows up and shows out. Trust in Him and do not think you know it all.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

It doesn’t say in some of your ways. It says in allll ways! In other words: In all ways, always! When we submit to the authority and sovereignty of our Heavenly Father, He will do so much. Imagine getting in the way of what God wants to do or teach you!! He doesn’t ask for anything but a heart that wants to do His will, and He will do the rest.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11: 28-30

God promised that if you go to Him, He will give you rest. Believe in His rest and Stay in His rest. There’s no better place to be than in the hands of the One who holds it all together.

So, the next time (and every time) you say “no worries!!!” Mean it. Text it or say it knowing that you can live a life free of worry. One preacher says that worry is worship to the enemy! When you worry, you think it’s all up to you, but when you put your trust in God, that’s when you see peace, joy and righteousness in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17 NLT)

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
